Z Fold4 Common Issues and Repairs
Along with the pros of this smart-fold-phone created by Samsung, there are plenty of issues people have experienced with the device. In this blog we will take a look at some of these issues and what we here at Wires Computing can do about them.
Some common issues of the Z Fold 4 we will be discussing are:
Screen damage
Battery life
Cellular/Wi-Fi issues
Screen Damage
We’ve all been there, whether its physically breaking the outside of the screen or a small component inside of it, a screen replacement is usually the way to go. Some telltale signs that you are in need of a replacement include but are not limited to:
Lines appearing across the screen
Touch issues
Phone makes sound but has no image
Other abnormalities
Battery Life
One of the most common issues in a smartphone is a reduction in battery life. With the Z Fold4 having a much larger screen than most smartphones, the issue of an unhealthy battery is not surprising, thankfully it is fully treatable.
Some signs that you may need a new battery are:
Finding you have to charge the phone much more than when it was new
Random shutting down/freezing of the device
Much longer time to charge the battery than usual
Bloated back of the phone/more heat coming from the phone than usual (extreme case)
Cellular/Wi-Fi issues
Last but certainly not least, an extremely frustrating issue common to any wireless device is a malfunction in any form of wireless communication. The method to solve this beyond software is typically to look at the phone’s logic board and replace shorted/broken components.
